This
institution, devoted to the study of botany and ecology, is situated
in the Avenida del Marqués de Comillas.
It
has a library specialized in these subjects. Over 600,000 plants
from all over the world make up its herbarium, and there are over
one thousand species in its Botanical Garden.
The
visitor can also observe a reproduction of a Masía
(typical Catalan rural house) made for the world fair in 1929.
