The
Moll d´Espanya begins opposite Vía Laietana,
with the headquarters of the Nautical and
Marine Club.
Opposite
these select clubs we find Maremagnum, a leisure and cultural centre
of Barcelona with one of the world's biggest aquariums, a library
specialized in scientific and marine subjects, a video library,
conference room and Spain's first IMAX
cinema, with a giant 180º screen, which surrounds the
audience with its spectacular images.
The
IMAX uses three projection
systems: the Omnimax screen, the flat IMAX,
which projects high-definition films, and the 3D with flat screen
(with this system the spectator uses 3D glasses).
The
digital sound reaches 27000 watts of power with six quadraphonic
channels, with computer-controlled equalization and 440 seats.
This
quay also has a twelve-screen cinema, discotheques, restaurants
and a big shopping centre.
