Located in the Plaça del Rei, the Saló del Tinell was the place where Christopher Columbus reported to the Catholic Monarchs on his first voyage.

It was built between 1359 and 1362. Its spacious dimensions mean that fairs, exhibitions and other events of cultural interest are frequently organized here.
