Although initially used as a stockyard, the Plaça del Rei acquired commercial importance over its history, to then become an architectural centre where we can see masterpieces such as the Palau Reial Major, the Palau de Lloctinent, the chapel of Santa Àgata and the more recent sculpture by Eduardo Chillida.
