From
then on the Generalitat was
housed in two buildings on Calle Sant Honorat,
which were the first seat of the Catalan government, subsequently
expanded, the Palau de la Generalitat now occupying the following
streets: Sant Honorat, Carrer
del Bisbe, Sant Jaume
and Sant Sever.
The
inner courtyards, such as the Pati dels
Tarongers (Orange Tree Courtyard) stand out, as well
as the 15th century Capilla de Sant Jordi
(Saint George's Chapel), and the Salón
de Sant Jordi, designed in 1596 by Pere Blai.
