Picasso, who was born in Málaga, spent part of his life in Barcelona
and his paintings in this city go from 1881 to 1957.
The
paintings from his blue period, such as The Harlequin, up to his
incursion in the world of cubism, are shown here. The museum has
a specialized library, a bookshop, circulation department, restaurant
and cafeteria.
As
well as the work of Picasso, it has temporary exhibitions on contemporary
art movements or artists.
