Located
near the Plaça de les Glòries
is the Catalan National Theatre,
a construction inspired by the theatres of ancient Rome.
It
was designed by the famous Catalan architect Ricard Bofill, and
includes an impressive colonnade which surrounds the architectural
ensemble. The theatre has two rooms, one with a capacity of 400,
designed like a Greek theatre, and another smaller one for experimental
theatre performances.
